Actor Dong-ha is set to resume his career after a four-year hiatus

Actor Dong Ha is set to return to the screen with the release of the film ‘Cornell’s Box’ on January 8, marking his first film in four years. In 2021, he faced allegations of school violence, which he denied, stating, “This is not true. I plan to take legal action.”

Dong Ha made his acting debut in 2009 through the KBS drama ‘The Accidental Couple’. He gained wider recognition in 2016 with KBS 2TV‘s ‘Good Manager’, and later appeared in several popular series, including SBS’s ‘Suspicious Partner’, SBS’s ‘Judge vs. Judge’, and KBS 2TV’s ‘Homemade Love Story’.

In September 2022, he reaffirmed his stance, saying, “I can confidently state, both then and now, that I was not the perpetrator of the school violence mentioned. I have never inflicted physical or mental harm on any fellow student.”

He filed a defamation lawsuit against the original poster, but the investigation was closed when the post was deleted and the suspect could not be identified.

In July 2024, Dong Ha signed an exclusive contract with Empathy Entertainment, signaling his return to the industry.

However, he suspended his activities in 2021 due to allegations of school violence, expressing unfairness several times.
